Throughout the past 20 years, Rhiannon has dedicated extensive time working with local juvenile, family and civil courts as a caseworker, mediator and consultant.
In 2009, Rhiannon became certified as a Supreme Court Rule 88.01 - Civil and Family Mediator and went on to serve as a family mediator, a board member and most recently as an Advisory Board Member to M.A.R.C.H. Mediation in Clay County, Missouri. In 2021, Rhiannon became a legislative steering committee member with M.A.R.C.H. Mediation. This committee was successful in pursuing a bid for funding through the Missouri House of Representatives receiving approval by then-Governor Parsons. Since 2021 this legislation has fostered growth and development, providing free and reduced rate mediation and attorney fees for families and circuit courts across the State of Missouri.
After facing tragedy in her own family, Rhiannon trained extensively in overcoming trauma, learning to cope with Complex Trauma and went on to train exclusively in Crisis Intervention with the Mobile Crisis Response Team and the National Suicide Prevention Line (9-8-8). Additionally, Rhiannon has an extensive background as a consultant and educator with Missouri Children’s Division and received specialized trauma training for adolescents, training with Missouri Alliance for Children and Families.
While not taking therapy clients at this time, Rhiannon specializes in working with adolescents (age 10+), adults, and couples both pre and post-divorce. She has a goal of helping individuals and families in crisis, focused on systemic issues including childhood loss, grief, women’s issues, complex trauma and domestic violence. Provisional supervision provided by John O'Palka.
Rhiannon earned her Bachelor’s in Psychology and Criminal Justice from Drury University, graduating Cum Laude with Departmental Distinction in 2006 and in 2010 obtained a Masters Degree in Administrative Studies from Missouri State University. In 2025, Rhiannon furthered her academic pursuits with a second Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Missouri State University and was inducted with honors into Mu Zeta Beta Chapter, Chi Sigma Iota Counseling Academic and Professional Honor Society.
